2021 MOWI Coach of the Year Announced

MOWI and the Camanachd Association are delighted to announce that Johnston Gill, Kinlochshiel, has been awarded the 2021 MOWI Coach of the Year award.

Johnston coached Kinlochshiel to what was a hugely successful 2021, picking up their first ever Tulloch Homes Camanachd Cup and cottages.com MacTavish Cup.

The Coach of the Season is the second in a series of 3 awards, following last weeks announcement of Finlay MacRae as MOWI Player of the Year, which will be announced with a weekly video. In addition, 9 other awards will be announced on Camanachd Association channels throughout the next month in order to celebrate the achievements of 2021. Two of which have already taken place as Dr John Wallace won the Social Responsibility Award and Ardnamurchan won the Fair Play Award.

“It’s fantastic to see these awards recognise the passion that clubs and players share for the game, for their teammates, and for the wellbeing of their communities. These values are also shared at Mowi, which is why we have been very proud to have partnered with the Camanachd Association for over three decades.”

Camanachd Association President
