Glengarry and Kilmory face off in the Single Team Cup Final this Saturday at An Aird, Fort William. The match throws up at 14:30 and is £5 for adults, £3 for concessions and FREE for U12s.

Read the below stats to get you warmed up for the big fixture!

Glengarry are scoring an average of 3 goals per game and conceding an average of 2.7 goals per game, making for some real end to end exciting matches!

Kilmory are scoring an average of 4 goals per game and conceding an average of 1.42 goals per game, this shows that they dominate their opponents more than Glengarry do, although it must be noted they play in a lower division.

Dangerous throughout

Glengarry are fairly consistent in their scoring throughout the game with a peak in the first 15 minutes of each half, the only real lull in goalscoring comes in the last 15 minutes of the first half.

Tired legs?

Glengarry concede 55% of their goals in the closing 15 minutes of each half. This is a pattern we see across many shinty teams whether it is down to tired legs in the defence, or because teams are pushing to end the half with a goal and are vulnerable to the counter attack is unclear.

Finishing teams off early

The stats show that Kilmory are at their most dangerous in the opening 30 minutes of each half with over 84% of their goals coming in these periods. What might be a concern is that their two lowest goal scoring periods are the two that Glengarry are most vulnerable during (30-45 & 75-90)!

Stiff after the break?

Kilmory are just as vulnerable in the 1st half as they are in the 2nd with the club's conceded goals split 10:10 across the halves. Despite not conceding a single goal between 60-75 minutes this year, they have proven to be most vulnerable immediately after the restart (7).

Shaun Shepherds Glen

Shaun Nicolson is far and away Glengarry's top scorer this season with almost double his nearest internal competition. Nicolson's 17 league goals make him the top scorer in MOWI North Division 1.

John(stone) sinks opposition

Bruce Johstone is currently Kilmory's top scorer with MOWI South Division 2 top scorer Alec Cunningham just one goal behind (and much easier to make a pun out of!!). The two forwards have scored over 2/3rds of Kilmory's goals this season.
