Kinlochshiel take on Fort William this Saturday in the Strathdearn Cup Final at Farr, home of Boleskine.

Read the below stats to get you warmed up for the big fixture!

This stat pack is brought to you thanks to support from:

Kinlochshiel are scoring an average of 2.80 goals per game and conceding an average of 1.76.

Fort William are scoring an average of 2.57 goals per game and conceding an average of 1.71.

Quick off the blocks

The stats show that Kinlochshiel are at their most dangerous in the first half with just under 2/3rds of their goals coming in the first 45 minutes, although they remain fairly potent in attack throughout the game.

Striking a balance

Similarly, Kinlochshiel are leakiest in the first half, conceding a whopping 70% of their goals in the opening period. Finding the right balance between attack and defence will be key against Fort William on Saturday.

Start and end strong

The stats show that Fort William's peak attacking performance is at the beginning and end of matches, with a dip in the middle 30 minutes. Whether it is by blowing the opposition away in the opening 30, or snatching points towards the end of the game, Fort are capable of causing serious damage.

Chasing games?

We can see from the graph that Fort William are most susceptible in the final 15 minutes, with this period accounting for almost double any other 15 minute period in the game. Being in the lead going into the last 15 might prove to be vital for the Fort.

'Every Brilliant Thing' by Duncan MacMillan

Duncan MacMillan, okay not that one, has an impressive 17 goals this season for Shiel making him far and away their top scorer, although MacDonald, Slaughter and Martin are putting up solid numbers.

Strength in depth key for Fort

At first glance you might worry that a team's top scorer has only 6 goals this season. Not for Fort William though, as they have had a whopping 22 different scorers this season at 2nd team level. Such strength in depth can only be a positive, who will pop up with a goal on Saturday? Who knows!
