Scotland U17s Set for RiCruden Tour of Ireland as Captain Announced

The Camanachd Association is pleased to confirm final preparations for the Scotland U17 squad’s annual RiCruden Tour of Ireland, with Fort William’s Arran Stephen named as captain for this year’s trip.

The long-running tour, now a fixture for over twenty years, gives the country’s brightest young shinty talents the opportunity to test themselves against leading hurling sides — building skills and forging bonds that last beyond the field.

The tour continues to be backed by RiCruden, a respected Highland mechanical and renewables business dedicated to supporting the next generation.

With a strong performance last year from the squad and a MOTM performance I’m raring to go again this year and get the same results. It’s never going to be an easy battle out in Ireland but I like our chances this year again. The Ireland tour was a splendid experience time last year and I’m looking forward to it again."
