Lochaber will start their title defence by welcoming Skye to Spean this weekend – how are you looking forward to the game?

We are all looking forward to the season starting, the whole squad has been working hard in pre season and it will be good to get going again on Sunday with a double header at Spean.

What do you think Skye’s strengths are?

Skye are a very fit and experienced team with a clinical forward line which we will need to match from the very start.

Do you think Lochaber can make it another season lifting silverware?

That’s always the goal for both teams, and with another cup competition added this year, there are plenty of opportunities. We have a strong 2nd team this year too which is great for the club, we are hoping both of squads can have a successful year.

As you won’t have the likes of Mairi Duncan playing this year, do you think the younger girls can step up to fill the void left in the team?

Absolutely.

On a personal note, you’ve been made Lochaber’s captain – how big an honour is this?

It’s great to be selected as captain for Lochaber and I am hoping we can build on the success of previous seasons and make it another memorable year.
