Ahead of the W M Donald MacTavish Cup Final this Saturday the Juvenile final will take place between Newtonmore and Skye. The two sides have played out some classic matches at junior level over the past 5 years and will be reacquainted come Saturday. We spoke to Skye U17 captain, Iain Graham to find out more.
How are you and the rest of the team feeling ahead of the MacTavish Juvenile Final?
The boys are all feeling positive and looking forward to the MacTavish Juvenile Final. We have trained hard as a team and now we are here and keen to give it our best shot.
You overcame a stubborn Kingussie side in the Semi-Final, what do you think you did well that day?
We had to dig deep. Kingussie were a well organised side as were Kinlochshiel in the quarter final but our teamwork and determination eventually got us over the line by the smallest of margins.
What do you think the key will be to getting a victory on Saturday?
We must turn up with a desire to win and score more goals than Newtonmore on the day.
How will it feel to lead your team out at Bught Park?
Really looking forward to the experience, it’s always an honour to represent Skye Camanachd and Skye at any level.
