Daniel, yet another Macaulay Cup Final for Oban Camanachd, how have the team been preparing ahead of Saturday?

Yeah, it’s great to reach the final again this year, all of the boys have been training hard and we’re all excited for the game on Saturday.

Oban got the national trophy monkey off their back in 2023 beating Kingussie in the Macaulay, what are your memories of that day, and will that have any impact on belief going into Saturday?

It was great to win the cup in 2023, I don’t think it will impact this Saturday too much because we know we can beat any team on our day.

It’s been a great season so far, top of the league, Celtic winners, Macaulay final on Saturday, what has Daniel Cameron brought to the side and is it sustainable for the rest of the season?

I think Daniel has brought a lot of positivity this year which everyone is on board with and for it being sustainable for the rest of the season, we’ll just need to take each game as they come.

You were of course part of the Scotland squad that were narrowly defeated by Ireland at Pairc Esler in 2023, with the Mowi International returning to Scotland, how keen are you to catch the eye come Saturday?

Yeah it was a great honour to represent Scotland in 2023, but I’ve not really thought about catching eyes for Scotland selection – I just hope I can make a positive impact for my club each week!

You’ve hit 7 goals more than last year already, how have you found playing in this forward line?

Since returning from injury I’ve been playing in the forward line which has been great – I think all 5 of our forwards have hit double figures this year which makes all of us dangerous.
