Cammy, another final for Lochside, how are the boys feeling ahead of the game?

We are all looking forward to another Bullough final this year, there is a buzz about the team with the shinty and results we are producing this year and we hope to keep that up and redeem ourselves after a disappointing result in last years final.

Being a league above Kilmory probably gives you guys the favourites status, is that something that the team can cope with?

I wouldn’t say that’s the case, they were more than capable of holding their own in South Division One over the past few seasons and we have had some very close encounters with them in recent times, so we will not be taking them lightly.

It’s shaping up to be a good battle with Ardnamurchan for the league title, does having to win every week take its toll or does it raise the performance levels?

I’ll be honest – it’s a surprise to see how Ard are doing in the league this year considering how they did at the later stages of last season, they have some top players at this level in Herbie Patterson and Alan Palmer and hopefully it’s a battle at the end of the season we will come out on top of. Winning every week is something we strive as a club to do and it keeps the fight for positions in the team healthy with the goal of 3 trophies on the line.

You’ve got the best defence in the division, just how important are the guys at the back going to be in winning the Bullough Cup?

Our defence has been solid this year, having a mix of experience and youth is certainly paying off. Our keeper Ross Mackay has pulled of some great saves at crucial times and if you don’t concede goals you don’t lose games so that’s the plan going into this years Bullough final.
