The workshop is suitable for individuals responsible for leading their club or organisation in the wellbeing and protection of children and young people. Learners will have the opportunity to develop knowledge and skills to manage concerns through the use of interactive case studies and group work.

The Child Wellbeing and Protection in Sport Workshop (CWPS) is a new training course designed by Sportscotland in partnership with Children 1st  and replaces the Safeguarding and Protecting Children Workshop. The workshop itself is a child protection awareness course that helps participants to identify good coaching practice and understand what constitutes abuse and how to take appropriate action if abuse is suspected.  Due to Covid-19 this workshop will be delivered on a virtual classroom platform.
