Congratulations to Col Glen Shinty Club, winners of the inaugural Single Team Club Competition, defeating a valiant Glengarry by two goals to one inn an exciting match at Taynuilt.

Glengarry got off to a dream start with Captain Nick Dalgety putting them ahead in the third minute with a well taken goal from inside the box. Col Glen eased themselves into the game thereafter and with three minutes remaining in the 1st half Andrew MacVicar levelled the match.

Glengarry started the second half on the front foot and were camped in the Col Glen half for long spells, only wayward shooting and stout defending was letting them down. Col Glen weathered the storm and then started to ask questions at the other end where they found Garry Keeper Gordy MacDonald in inspired form, indeed both keepers performed heroics all afternoon.

Just as in the 1st half with three minutes remaining before Extra Time, Jamie MacVicar managed to get the ball past MacDonald from the edge of the box to give Col Glen the lead. The match remained on a knife edge until Referee Lachie Wood blew for Full time.

When Camanachd Association President Steven MacKenzie handed the trophy to Col Glen Captain Andrew MacVicar it ended a 32 year wait for the Argyllshire team to lift a National Trophy.
