As you may be aware the Camanachd Association are now into the final year of our current four-year strategy and are keen to ensure our next strategy is built in collaboration with our members with a commitment from key partners to play a crucial role in protecting our iconic game as we recover from the pandemic. We have had a number of positive outcomes in the current cycle including the establishment of our first schools of shinty but more importantly this and others areas of work have provided hundreds of opportunities for people to take part in Shinty, delivering wider benefits such as being physically active, participating with friends, and engaging and representing their communities.
The future of our sport depends on the capacity of our communities and the quality of support we can afford to engage people in shinty. To protect and nurture our sport we want to maximise the effectiveness of our staff resource through effective partnership working. With your support we aim to draft a plan that will protect and grow shinty for the long term. I have attached a link to our existing strategy for reference and look forward to discussing your thoughts on our next steps at our consultation event detailed below. I have also attached a copy of the CA Annual Report for 2020.
