Full Draw for the 2025 Chieftain's Cup Announced
The Camanachd Association is delighted to announce the full draw for the 2025 Chieftain’s Cup, a prestigious competition formerly known as the Single Team Cup. The name change was recommended by the Competition Committee and ratified by the Board of Directors, reflecting the historic and symbolic role of the Chieftain in shinty.
First introduced in the 2022 season, the Chieftain’s Cup has already seen some exciting battles. Col Glen claimed the inaugural title, and in the following years, the defeated finalists Glengarry became champions themselves—Kilmory twice falling to their rivals in both 2023 and 2024 finals.
The Chieftain’s Cup will see teams from across the country competing for the newly named trophy, and the full draw for this season’s competition is now available.

"I was deeply honoured when the shinty community entrusted me with the role of Chieftain, and to see a competition take on this name is truly humbling. The Chieftain is an honoured representative of the sport, not just a title, and this cup will stand as a testament to the dedication of clubs and volunteers who keep shinty thriving. I look forward to seeing teams compete with the same passion and pride that define our great game."
