Join us for our annual Jack Asher Sixes Tournament and Ceilidh on the 29th of January 2022.
In the spirit of promoting our sport within Glasgow and beyond, we are building on the 2020 event, inviting mixed teams from all alumni, clubs and universities alike back to enter. With our ever-booming cohort of players, if any team is short (numerically or otherwise) we would be more than happy to provide some bodies to join your ranks. After a year without the event, we endeavour to do all we can to reunite the extended GUSC family for what’s sure to be another great day.
Tournament Details:
This year we are building on previous feedback and encouraging that each team aims to play as a mixed unit. We would recommend having no more than 10 players on each squad.
Location – Pàirc na Solais, Garscube
Time – Registration 9am, Start of Play 10.30am, Projected End Time 3.30pm
Cost – £5 per person (Tournament Only)
Ceilidh Details:
With music provided by Martainn Skene and a tremendous raffle, you’d be daft to miss the pride of the GUSC calendar – the Jack Asher Ceilidh! Return to your old stomping ground and grace the Glasgow University Debates Chambers with some great dancing and fierce competition in the all-important Whisky Coin Toss. Remember to be into the union before 8pm to avoid being charged union entrance!
Location – Debates Chamber and Reading Room Bar, Glasgow University Union
Time – Doors 7pm, Music Starting 8pm, Finishing at Midnight
Cost – £5 per person (Ceilidh Only)

We will also be offering a combined deal of £8 per person for access to both the tournament and ceilidh, a whole day of shinty fun!
