International Women’s Day – Strathglass – Sheena MacKenzie

This International Women’s Day we are celebrating women who the shinty world owes so much too!

Sheena Mackenzie

Sheena joined Strathglass in 2008 after a very brief time playing for Linlithgow due to her brother setting up the ladies team there.

Since then she has gone on to be a stalwart of our club. She is still playing for the ladies team, having also completed her Coaching certificate and Refereeing qualifications which she uses to help the club whenever she can; always involved in fundraising events and there to support all players at every level, be it shinty related or not.

She has been a committee member for many years and became secretary for the club 3 yrs ago; and has done a great job especially during the recent pandemic keeping on top of all the changes and circulating information whilst liaising with the Camanchd association.

She is a truly irreplaceable member of Strathglass Shinty Club.
