The Shinty world was saddened to hear of the passing last Friday, 3rd December of Mabel Sloggie, Achadhluachraich, Inverngarry.

Mabel was a regular attendee at Shinty matches throughout the length of the country accompanying her late husband John, often acting as Goal Judge whilst John refereed. For over 40 years Mabel and John produced hand-made shinty sticks for players throughout Scotland, and beyond from their workshop beside the family home.

The thoughts of the Shinty world are with her sons, Eddie, Mark, Matthew and Peter and their families at this sad time.

Mabel’s funeral will take place on Wednesday 15^th December at Inverness Crematorium at 11.00. Please note seating is limited to 80.
