MacKay Cup Final
Alasdair Tindall Interview
Ahead of the W M Donald MacTavish Cup Final this Saturday the MacKay Cup Final will take place between Bun-sgoil Ghàidhlig Phort Righ (BSGP) & Rockfield. We sat down with BSGP captain Alasdair Tindall to find out more…
How are you and the team feeling ahead of the big game?
I think we are all a bit nervous but really excited at the same time.
You got a hard-fought victory last week, what were three things you thought you and the team did well in that game?
We played well as a team and fought hard for each other. We listened to our coach and we didn’t let our heads go down against a very strong Tomnacross team. There are still things we can improve on at training though.
BSGP won the MacKay Cup last year, what was that like?
It was the best feeling ever considering how prestigious the MacKay Cup is. To win it in front of lots of my family in the stand at Bught Park was unreal. I’ll never forget that day, it meant everything to me.
How will it feel leading the team out there at Bught Park?
It will feel amazing. I’m honoured to be captain as there would have been a few players in the mix for it. I’m so grateful to my coach Peter Gordon for believing in me.
