Skye will (hopefully!) host Lochaber in the first ever match in the Premier Cup, how are you feeling ahead of the game?

We are looking forward to the game, it will be interesting to see how we adapt to 12 aside against Lochaber having played them in the league a few weeks ago.

The weather hasn’t been kind with only one match played so far this season – how do the team have to work around the setbacks associated with this?

I think we are on the same boat as most teams on the West of Scotland, we’ve just carried on training and hope to have a good run of games from now.

The Premier Cup is a great addition to the Shinty calendar, can Skye put a strong run together?

We hope to introduce a few younger girls into the 12 aside squad and just enjoy playing the extra games, if we can progress through the rounds then that’s a bonus!

12 a side matches are rare in the women’s game, what do you need to adapt to the change?

A lot of the girls playing have come up through u14s and u17s so will find 12 aside more natural and it will be good to see the girls enjoy playing with the extra space and players!

On a personal level you capped off a strong 2025 campaign by taking to the field in the Mowi Shinty/Camogie international, will you be aiming to reach the same heights this year?

I’ll see how the season goes, it’s nice to have something to work towards at the end of the season but I’m happy just working on trying to do well in the league and cups for the team first!
