It was a disappointing defeat last week to Strathglass – how will you look to bounce back this Sunday?

It was a difficult game for us and strathglass were a very strong team. However as a team we need to put the defeat behind us and concentrate on the upcoming games. We have identified our weaknesses and will work on them at training.

Despite this loss you sit just one point off the top of the table – what are Dunadd’s aims this season?

We are finding that this new league is much more suited to us, and the games are both entertaining and hard. We will be pleased if we place in the top three in the league this season. But we’re just enjoying playing new teams. Nobody is getting ahead of ourselves and we’re taking each game as it comes.

Your next game is away to Tayforth in the Mowi Challenge Cup – how do you fancy your chances in the cup this year?

We know it won’t be a easy game against Tayforth and we would like to be successful in the Challenge Cup, we have a strong team this year and a run at the cup will be good for us and it will provide a challenge to ourselves. Our supporters giving us hope for success in both the league and the cup.

It’s a long trip down to Fife – how do you keep yourself occupied on long journeys to games like these?

When we travel to these games, it’s the only opportunity we have to talk that isn’t during practice or on the pitch, so we do just that while listening to the speaker to set the tone for the match.

You’ve scored 5 in 3 – what are your personal aims for the season, and how do you feel your game is developing?

It’s always great to score goals or assist for the team but that is never at the forefront of my mind. Most important thing for me is to contribute to the team in such a way that’s gives us the best chance of winning matches! My game has developed in such a way that I understand and can ref the game better which allows me to be more vocal and support the younger members within the group. Which is perhaps a main reason I was picked to be captain.
