In the lead up to Saturday’s launch of the 2023 Mowi League season,  the Camanachd Association would like to thank colleagues at Mowi Scotland for their continued contribution to shinty.

Camanachd Association CEO Derek Keir said

“We cannot understate the critical role Mowi Leagues have played in providing rural communities with regular physical activity through shinty. The benefits of exercise are well documented and lead to enhanced physical, social, mental and emotional wellbeing which is of great value across our participating communities.

On the back of COVID the opportunity to take part and attend sport across Scottish communities become pivotal in the search for normality and our sport could not have achieved those outcomes and that recovery without Mowi.

On behalf of everyone that takes part in our sport I would like to extend an incredible note of thanks to all at Mowi for the support they provide to communities across Scotland. The role your organisation plays is pivotal in protecting our historic sport as a vibrant part of our national culture and continuing our work as Scotland’s community sport.

From everyone at the Camanachd Association – thank you”
