Glen Urquhart High School’s Shinty Sixes for under fourteen’s makes a welcomed return after COVID on Tuesday 30th May at Blairbeg Park in Drumnadrochit.
The competition, which marks 25 years since it’s start this year, will see schools from across the shinty community come together for the popular sixes.
Event organiser Allan MacLeod said “We are delighted to get the competition back up and running. We managed to get the Great Glen Schools Sixes for under sixteens restarted in October last year after COVID but it is a challenge to get things back up and running. We are delighted to gain financial support from Soirbheas through their community grant scheme as well as the assistance of Glen Urquhart and Strathglass Shinty Club’s. Without this support the competition would struggle to get going again.”
The competition is set for a 12 noon start and is open to any school. For further information please contact Allan MacLeod by email on allanmacleod8003@gmail.com.
