The Caman Connection – Derek Fraser

With good news coming this week that we could see a start to a new shinty season in June, there’s still plenty of time to enjoy Gary Innes’ series of podcasts with shinty legends.

Supported by Shinty Memories Scotland, Gary’s first interview last week was with John Squashie MacFarlane of Taynuilt and currently a resident of Tunbridge Wells. He was notably a key member of Glasgow Mid Argyll’s famous Camanachd Cup winning team in 1973.

This week’s legend in The Caman Connection is Kilmallie’s Derek Fraser who was a member of their Camanachd Cup winning team in 1964 and a key figure in their successful team of the late 1950s and 1960s.

The Caman Connection interviews are available to stream on all podcast streaming services from Friday 12th and links will also be made available from Shinty Memories Scotland social channels.
