The MacTavish Cup is Shinty’s senior north cup competition and is open to 1st teams from the North of Scotland.

The cup was first competed for in 1898, with Duncan MacTavish of Stratherrick presenting Skye Camanachd with the Rose Bowl trophy. Newtonmore and Kingussie have dominated this competition, with 42 and 30 wins respectively. Lovat are third in the all time rankings with 8 wins, whilst Caberfeidh and Kilmallie have been victors 4 times.

Kingussie are the current champions, having won the previous three finals. They are one of just five clubs to have successfully defended their title, with Newtonmore, Inverness, Lovat and Fort Augustus also having completed this feat.

The final is traditionally held at the Bught Park in Inverness.

The cup has been sponsored by W M Donald since 2025. Digitised versions of the programme will be added below starting in 2022.
