Iain Kennedy to referee 2025 Tulloch Homes Camanachd Cup Final

The Camanachd Association is delighted to confirm that Fort William’s Iain Kennedy has been appointed referee for the 2025 Tulloch Homes Camanachd Cup Final between Kingussie and Newtonmore. The final will take place at Bught Park, Inverness, on Saturday 20th September.

Kennedy has enjoyed a long and respected career in the sport. After playing senior shinty with Fort William, he turned to refereeing and has since gone on to officiate at the highest level, including the Celtic Cup, Macaulay Cup, Sutherland Cup, Balliemore Cup and the Valerie Fraser Camanachd Cup. His dedication has earned him recognition as one of the Association’s most trusted officials.

Speaking on his appointment, Officials Director John MacRitchie said:

“Iain has been a committed servant to shinty for many years and has shown great professionalism in his refereeing career. His experience at all levels of the game, combined with his amiable personality on the pitch, make him an excellent choice for this year’s Tulloch Homes Camanachd Cup Final. We are confident he will manage the occasion with the fairness and respect that this fixture demands.”
