Greg, a big game this weekend against Oban Camanachd, how have the team been preparing? 

The team have been preparing as we would for any other game, it is important to not allow the occasion take over and just treat the match like any other.

Lovat marginally have the better of Camanachd over the last 5 games (W2 D2 L1), does that give you confidence going into this match? 

Not really, when it comes to the camanachd cup all previous results go out the window. We go into every game with confidence but we know Oban are a very good team with big game players all over the pitch, so we will need to make sure we are at our very best. Very rarely has more than 1 goal separated the 2 teams recently and I expect it to be just as tight this weekend.

You drew at Mossfield earlier in the season, what did you make of Oban that day, what do you think their strengths are and how can you get at them? 

I actually missed the game down in Mossfield earlier this season as I was on holiday although from hearing the reports I think it’s fair to say our depleted team did well to come away with a draw. Oban are a very fit side with a good mixture of youth and experienced players. We will just go about are business as usual, trying to cause Oban as many problems as possible going forward whilst remaining tight defensively.

Your 7 goals in the MOWI Premiership account for 41% of Lovat’s league goals this year, how do you handle the pressure of being the club’s go to marksman?

I don’t really think about anything like that, I just want to do my best for them. If I’m not scoring, I know I am surrounded by top quality teammates that can all get amongst the goals and bail me out!

Lovat are very familiar with making the Tulloch Homes Camanachd Cup Final having done so on 5 of the last 7 occasions, how special a match is it to be involved in?

Believe me, the Tulloch homes Camanachd cup final is only a special match to be involved in if you are victorious. Winning it in 2015 was an incredible feeling I will never forget, but unfortunately the 4 runners up medals I have is a reminder of a completely different emotion!!
