Veterans’ Shinty, Bught Park, May 2026

The Camanachd Association is delighted to announce a special Veterans’ Shinty Match at Bught Park, Inverness on to be held in May, supporting Shinty’s Story – Sgeul na Camanachd.

The game will create a meaningful opportunity for players over 45 to pull on a strip once again, renew old friendships and celebrate the lifelong bonds that shinty builds. It responds directly to feedback from communities and forms part of the Activity Plan for the national heritage project, as well as the priorities of Shinty Memories Scotland.

Proceeds from the event will go towards helping keep Shinty’s Story – Sgeul na Camanachd open and thriving for future generations.

Two squads will be formed from everyone who registers interest. Larger squads will allow plenty of rolling substitutions so that the day is enjoyable, inclusive and suited to all abilities.
