W M Donald MacTavish Cup Semi-Final Draw sees repeat of 2025 final

The Camanachd Association and W M Donald are delighted to present the draw for the 2026 W M Donald MacTavish Cup Semi-Final. Following a successful first year as title sponsor of the competition – which culminates in the first major final of the shinty calendar each June – W M Donald are proud to continue their support. The draw took place at the company’s Inverness headquarters, at the heart of a wide range of property and infrastructure projects shaping the Highlands. All four sides are now just 90 minutes away from reaching the final, which takes place at Bught Park, Inverness on the 13th of June.

First out of the hat were 2022 finalists Caberfeidh who will play Camanachd Cup holders Newtonmore at Castle Leod. In the other tie, National Division side Lovat welcome Kingussie in a repeat of the 2025 final.

Daniel Bauer, Quantity Surveyor at W M Donald said:

“Everyone at W M Donald is really looking forward to the final this year, last year was a great spectacle and we are pleased to be sponsoring the competition again. Good luck to all the teams in the semi-finals!”

Burton Morrison, President of the Camanachd Association added:

“As the names of the last four teams in the competition go into the draw, there is a sense of anticipation amongst shinty followers awaiting the outcome. There is no doubt that, whoever progresses from the semi-finals, we are set for a thrilling climax on June 13th. The MacTavish Cup showcases the very best of shinty in the North of Scotland, and we are delighted to partner with W M Donald, a company that shares our enthusiasm for the area.”
