ALVANCE British Aluminium Balliemore Cup

The 4 semi-finalists in the ALVANCE British Aluminium Balliemore Cup have been confirmed.

Inveraray beat Ballachulish 8-0 at Jubilee Park powered by a 9 minute Fraser Watt hat-trick.

Bute beat Strathglass at home 2-1 after extra-time after the score was 1-1 at the FT whistle – Scott Harvey scored a goal 10 minutes from the end of ET to put Bute through to the next round.

Jamie Gilles scored a hat-trick as Skye put Aberdour out 5-0.

Jack Macdonald helped himself to a double hat-trick against Inverness however, making him shinty’s highest scorer at the weekend.

Highland Industrial Supplies Sutherland Cup

Two of the four Quarter-Finals in the Highland Industrial Supplies Sutherland Cup took place at the weekend.

2019 finalists Lovat beat Aberdeen University 7-1 at Balgate with Raymond Rennie bagging a hat-trick on teh day.

In Newtonmore’s game against Kyles Athletic however, there was not 1, not 2 but 3 hat-tricks with Craig MacLeod getting 5, Somhairle Thomson getting 4 and veteran Glen MacKintosh getting 3.
