2024 Harper Macleod CA Cup Drawn

The excitement builds as the draw for the 2024 CA Cup, Scotland’s premier national shinty club competition for U12s, has been officially announced. This year’s tournament promises to showcase the future stars of shinty, with teams from across the country set to compete for the coveted title.

We are also thrilled to announce that the 2024 CA Cup will be proudly sponsored by Harper Macleod, one of Scotland’s leading, full-service law firms. It provides first-class legal services to businesses, individuals & families, public sector organisations and the modern rural economy in Scotland and beyond. This year, Harper Macleod is celebrating its 20th anniversary of opening its doors in Inverness. It has a unique footprint and the largest team of lawyers in the north of Scotland, backed up by the breadth and depth of a national law firm.

Harper Macleod’s support of the Camanachd Association’s youth competition complements the firm’s ongoing commitment to community and grassroots sports participation. The firm has longstanding relationships with Scottish ClubSport, Glasgow Warriors and Highland Rugby Club. Last year, it supported the Shetland Island Games Association at the NatWest International Island Games on Guernsey.

Harper Macleod is recognised as Scotland’s leading sports law firm. The firm is sportscotland’s sole legal adviser as well as advisers to a wide range of international, national and grassroots competitions, clubs and governing bodies.

Calum MacLeod, who heads up Harper Macleod’s rural property, community land & crofting team in the North, said: “Harper Macleod is extremely proud to support the Camanachd Association. Sport plays such an important social, economic and cultural role in our society by bringing people and communities together. Sport promotes healthy physical and mental wellbeing. It is the catalyst for social interaction and helps to create positive role models and community pride. We are particularly pleased to support the indigenous but iconic sport of shinty, which is so important to a number of communities.”

Ronald Ross, National Development Manager, Camanachd Association said: “We are grateful to Harper Macleod for their generous support of the 2024 CA Cup. Their commitment to grassroots sports is clear to see, and their sponsorship ensures that we can provide a fantastic experience for all the young players involved. The CA Cup is one of the highlights of the youth shinty calendar, and with Harper Macleod’s backing, we’re excited to see the next generation of talent showcase their skills. We look forward to an exciting competition and wish all the teams the very best of luck.”
