It’s the final match of the season as you take on Kingussie, how is the mood in the squad ahead of the game?

It’s been a very long season but the boys will want to finish it on a high. Hosting Kingussie at An Aird is a great opportunity to that.

To have been in the title race until such a late stage in the season is impressive for a promoted team – has this season exceeded your expectations?

It’s been the best league title race for years and for us to be a big part of the that was great. Personally I was quietly confident at the start of the year after matching up well versus top division teams last season though admittedly survival was the first target as it should be for any promoted team.

With a successful return to the top flight, as well as a treble for your seconds, how can the club look to build on this and cement its place as one of the dominant forces in shinty once again?

The second team had an amazing year and I feel both squads fed off each other’s positivity. We have to maintain that because I think the atmosphere around a club goes a long way toward success on the pitch.

You of course made your Scotland debut in the Mowi Shinty/Hurling international – how big an honour was it to represent your country on home soil?

A huge honour and one that I was really grateful for. Mixing it with some of the top Irish hurlers is an experience I’ll not forget.
