The Mowi London Shield Final takes place at Blairbeg Park tomorrow to crown the top team in u17 Shinty.

The holders Newtonmore will take on Skye in a rematch of the W M Donald MacTavish Juvenile final in what promises to be a top match, and we spoke to Skye captain Iain Graham to get his thoughts ahead of the game.

Iain, you’ve got the Mowi London Shield Final which takes place Tuesday 8th September , how are you feeling ahead of the game?

⁠The boys are all feeling positive and looking forward to the London Shield Final. We have worked hard at training to give ourselves the best chance.

You topped your league session this year and reached the MacTavish cup u17 final does that give you confidence ahead of the game?

We had good opponents in our league and had some really competitive games which makes us prepared for the final.

In the semi-final you beat Kingussie, what do you think you did well that day and how can you do that in the final?

We had to be at our best to beat Kingussie and it was great to get goals from a few different players in the squad.

You will take on Newtonmore in the Final, what do you make of them as a side?

Newtonmore are always a well coached and well organised team who have been successful over the past few years at u17 level. We are looking forward to playing them.
