Badenoch have became the first team in the history of women’s shinty to lift three senior trophies in one season after lifting the WCA Mowi Valerie Fraser Cup after a 5-3 win over Kinlochshiel.
It went to extra time, but Iain “Corky” Borthwick’s team retained the trophy for the second year running at The Eilan with goals from substitutes Kirsty Deans and Hope Borthwick, with the celebrations made even sweeter when keeper Elizabeth “Betty” McGregor was awarded the Peter Gow Player of the Match award. Rachael Borthwick capped off a successful season as captain, lifting the third and final trophy of the season above her head.
