Kilmallie take on Kingussie in the MacMaster Cup Final this Saturday to crown the top team in under 14 shinty at Mossfield Stadium, Oban. With the game throwing up at 11am, we spoke to Kilmallie captain Fergus Stewart to get his thoughts ahead of the big game.
Fergus – you take on Kingussie in the MacMaster Cup final, how are you feeling ahead of the game?
Very excited to have made it to the final. Really looking forward to the game.
You topped your league this year, does that give you confidence ahead of the game?
Absolutely. As a team we have worked hard to get to this final.
In the semi-final you beat Kyles, what do you think you did well that day and how can you do that in the final?
The team went into it with a positive attitude. We worked hard together to get the win and hopefully we can play the same level of shinty on Saturday.
You will take on Kingussie in the Final, what do you make of them as a side?
Kingussie are a really good team. We know it’s not going to be an easy final but we will give it 100%
