This Saturday from Noon at The Eilan, Oban Youth will face Skye Shinty Academy for the CA Cup. We sat down with Oban Youth’s Ollie Duffy to find out how Oban are shaping up ahead of the final.

How are you and the team feeling ahead of Saturday’s CA Cup Final?

We are all really looking for to it, there is a real buzz around the team, and everyone is really excited to play in the CA cup final. We know it’s going to be a tough game but we have worked really hard to get here. We are determined to give it our all on Saturday

It’s familiar opponents in Skye Shinty Academy, what do you make of them as a team?

SSA are a strong side and we have made good friendships from playing them before. They are a good team with plenty of quality and we know they will be up for it as much as we are. We will need to be our best, we are confident in our ability and what we can bring to the game.

What three things do you think you did well in the semi final?

I think our work rate, team spirit and our ability to stay composed in front of goal were really important and everyone stuck to the game plan.

What message have you got for your team mates ahead of Saturday?

The main message is to enjoy it and give everything for each other. We have worked hard all this season to get ourselves into this position and we deserve to be here, if we stick together work hard and play with confidence there will be no reason why we can’t come away with the trophy. Let’s leave everything out on the pitch and make it a day to remember.
