We caught up with Caberfeidh’s Blair Morrison ahead of what is a huge cottages.com MacTavish Cup Semi-Final against Skye.

Blair, a huge game ahead of you this weekend as you take on Skye for a place in the cottages.com MacTavish Cup Final. How are the team feeling ahead of the game?

It’s a massive game for both teams this weekend, We’ve been training well the last few weeks and the lads are looking forward to taking on a good Skye team for a place in the final.

With you taking on a team from the division below do you feel the weight of expectation at all?

I personally don’t think we should feel the weight of expectation even with Skye being the league below because they’re in the semi final after putting in good performances so we have to be careful about how we approach this game.

I know you played some time up top while Craig was suspended and you have 5 goals so far this season, do you prefer playing up there or in the defence?

I’m going to be honest it felt strange starting a games in the forward line cottages.com again but I’m actually not fussed where I play, I’ll happily go wherever the manager puts me.

Skye are unbeaten coming into this game, how do you plan to put a halt to that?

We know Skye have been pretty good in defence and haven’t conceded to many goals so we have to be clinical when we get our chances and at the other end limit the amount space and time they have when pushing forward.

Cabers last won the trophy in 1937 – have you got one eye on the 11th of June and making history with this side?
I can’t say I do, we have to have all eyes on this weekend and if the result goes in our favour we’ll start thinking about the upcoming fixtures.
