Ferguson Transport & Shipping Game of the Week - Lochaber vs Col-Glen

Auryn Kerr Interview

Taynuilt is the venue this Saturday, as 1st vs 2nd in the National Division go head to head for a place in the Balliemore Cup Final. Ahead of the game, we spoke to Scotland Under 17 Cap Auryn Kerr.

You face Lochaber for a chance to play in the Balliemore Cup final – how are you looking forward to the game?

I’m really excited for the game on Saturday. These are the kind of matches you look forward to all season, and we’re all buzzing for the challenge.

What would it mean to reach the final?

It would be massive for us. To get to a Balliemore final would be a brilliant achievement for the whole squad. We’ve all worked hard all year, and it would be great to see that pay off.

Your last game in the National was a narrow defeat to Lochaber – what do you think Col-Glen will have to do differently to be in with a chance this time out?

That last game was really close, and I thought we played really well. We were a bit unlucky not to get something from it. I think this time we just need to come out a lot sharper right from the start that’s where they caught us last time. If we can start strong and play the way did against them last time, we have a real chance.

Looking at the league, you occupy 2nd spot – how do you feel the season has gone so far?

It’s been a brilliant season so far. We’ve picked up some really good results in big games, and there’s been a massive commitment from everyone around the team to keep pushing forward. We’ve built a bit of momentum and hopefully we can keep it going.

On a personal level, how do you feel your game is developing?

I feel like my game’s come on a lot recently. I’ve been getting more involved, growing in confidence, and just enjoying playing every week. There’s always more to improve on, but I’m definitely happy with how things are going.
