The Camanachd Association is building a dedicated Volunteer Team – and we need you.
Shinty and every event, final, and fixture relies on passionate volunteers. Whether you’re a lifelong fan or a newcomer with a few hours to spare, there’s a role for you in our team.
By joining the Volunteer Team, you’ll become part of a national movement helping to deliver world-class events, grow the sport, and support local communities.
Roles include:
Event Set-Up – Laying out signage, flags, barriers, goals and branding.
Event De-Rig – Helping restore venues to their original condition post-match.
Ticket Office – Welcoming spectators and managing entry smoothly.
Hospitality – Assisting with teas, refreshments, and hosting special guests.
Score Running – Relaying results and scores between pitch, officials and PA teams.
Stewarding – Ensuring crowd safety and offering directions and support.
No previous experience is necessary. All volunteers will be supported by Camanachd Association staff and receive clear guidance for their roles. Some travel support and branded kit may also be provided depending on the event.
Whether you can give a day a month or one afternoon a year – every offer of help counts.
