t’s a trip out west on this weekend – how are you looking forward to the match?

We’re looking forward to the game this weekend after having a couple of weekends off allowing us to recharge. We’ve continued to work away at training and I’m just hoping we don’t get soaked!

It was a large win over Shiel earlier in the season, but they still showed flashes of what they are capable of – how will you work to nullify the threat that they pose?

Previous score lines never are anything to go off in this league. We know how dangerous they can be as a team but if we play our normal game working together this hopefully will keep them at bay.

You’ve got a free weekend after receiving a bye in the Valerie Fraser QF draw – do you think Badenoch stand a good chance of reclaiming the cup this year?

It’s always our goal to get to and ultimately win the Valerie Fraser Final but we just take it one game at a time and the competition, and since the level of play has stepped up yet again it’s hard to predict anything this year.

You sit top of the Mowi Premier League, however Lochaber are hot on your heels with a game in hand – does this pressure force you to up your game?

Over the last few seasons we’ve always had pressure on us and I think as team it’s something we deal reasonably well with. If we just keep to the foundations we’ve built over the years and focus on the next game ahead then hopefully results will keep going our way.

Your reserves are flying high in the Mowi National and also occupy pole position – how good is it to see the club’s youth development paying off, and how important can these young players be in maintaining Badenoch’s dominance in the women’s game?

It’s amazing to see so many young girls take up Shinty in the area and coming along to training! I remember the days we struggled for 10 at training and now we have over 40 – it’s fantastic to see. There’s so much talent coming through at all ages and hopefully they will continue to progress through the ranks and no doubt keep Badenoch in the running for trophies.
