Inverness are WJ Cameron U17 Development Champions

Inverness took on Aberdour on Sunday 27th February to conclude a competition which started in the Summer of 2021. COVID and weather conditions had prevented the match from being played at the tail end of last year so it was great to see such appetite from both teams who wanted to complete the competition before the start of the 2022 season.

U17 Development Match

Inverness came away with the spoils on the day after an entertaining encounter between the two sides at the IRA all weather pitch. The tale of the tape was a brace for Lewis Craig, followed by a hat-trick from Skye MacKintosh and a goal from Brodie Campbell before a consolation goal from eventual Player of the Match Keiran Pritchard for Dour. After the match, Camanachd Assocaition President Steven MacKenzie presented the trophy to the Inverness Captain. All in all, a good game and a delight to see some competitive action on the eve of the 2022 MOWI Leagues returning.

A mark of thanks

The Camanachd Association were also delighted to be able to present Wendy Chamberlain, MP. with a decanter to mark her time as a Camanachd Association Director before taking her seat in the House of Commons. Wendy was the first female Director of the Camanachd Assocaiton.

The decanter was presented by former and current President’s Keith Loades and Steven MacKenzie, respectfully.
