Congratulations to Kilmory who have won the MOWI South Division 2 after beating Aberdour by 3 goals to 1 at MacRae Park, Lochgilphead on Saturday 30th September to end the season with a record of 13 wins and 1 defeat in the League.
Indeed, to make it a very successful season for Kilmory/Dunadd, Dunadd were crowned WCA Mowi South Div 2 champions a week earlier, coincidentally Dunadd also only suffered one defeat in the League campaign,
Earlier in the Season Kilmory gave an excellent account of themselves in the Single Team Cup competition defeating both Ballachulish and Boleskine before falling at the final hurdle when they were beaten by 3 – 0 by Mowi North Div 1 side Glengarry.
Kilmory were top scorers in the League amassing 69 goals, Bruce Johnstone and Alex Cunningham had a personal dual to be top scorer with Alex edging it by 22 goals to Bruce’s 21.
Following their final match of the season, the Mowi South Division 2 Trophy and Medals were handed over by Former Camanachd Association Director Ian MacPhee.
