On Saturday 23rd September the annual Am Fasgadh Quaich competition took place at the Highland Folk Museum. A local primary 6-aside tournament saw 5 teams enter: Alvie, Aviemore, Kingussie, Newtonmore and Strathspey.
Games were closely battled, with some excellent shinty on show for local spectators and tourists visiting the museum for the day. The day concluded with Kingussie securing the quaich by winning all their matches.
Thanks to Badenoch Shinty Memories for presenting the medals and quaich and for providing refreshments on the day. Thanks also goes to Highland Folk Museum and Helen Pickles from High Life Highland for facilitating and organising the competition.
