It’s a trip to Craigard to face off against Skye for a chance to make it to a second consecutive VF final – how are you feeling ahead of the game?

All the girls are excited for what is sure to be a tough game on Sunday. We always look forward to playing Skye as we have had so many close battles over the last few years. Skye have a strong team all over the park and we will need to match this on Sunday. We will just treat it like any other game and hopefully get the job done.

What would it mean to reach the final?

It would of course mean a great deal to reach the final, however as always we are focusing one game at a time which is the Semi final this Sunday and not thinking about the final yet. Hopefully we will get the result against Skye on Sunday!

You lifted the trophy as captain in 2018 – how much did this mean to you?

It was a great feeling to get the opportunity to captain the side in 2018 and lift the Valerie Fraser cup at our home pitch. I think this year it felt extra special for us all as we had not won it since 2013. As always, it was a team effort on the day and we will hope to put in a similar performance against Skye this Sunday.

Your 2nds currently also occupy top spot in their league and are in the Challenge Cup semi finals – how good is it to see the younger girls developing, and how important can they be in ensuring the long term success of the club?

It has been brilliant to see so many young girls now attending our training week in week out. Over the last 5 years we have seen a massive difference with the introduction of our second team and also our U14s team, which is providing more opportunity to play competitively for the club and created a good structure for moving forwards. We are all super proud of our second team and excited for what the future will bring!
