It’s not gone to plan yet with the weather, but all going well Shiel will finally get going for the season, how are you feeling ahead of the game?

Hopefully the weather lets us get going this week. The girls are all looking forward to finally getting the season started. We’re excited to get on the pitch and hoping we can put in a strong performance.

With Rhianna Kirk and Lorna MacRae being valuable additions to the squad, what do you think the side can go on to do this season?

We’re more than capable of pushing on this season, with the addition of Rhianna, younger girls stepping up, and seeing a return of Lorna, hopefully we can come away with some silverware.

The last 5 games between the two sides have seen two wins a piece and a draw in your most recent game – is it fair to say the teams are quite evenly matched?

I think that’s fair to say. GMA are a strong side and it’s always a competitive game between us, so it can go either way on the day.

You’re vice captain this season, how big an honour is it to be entrusted with this role?

It’s nice to be given the role. Rhianna’s captain this season, so I’ll just be supporting her and helping the team where I can.
