You make the short trip to Newtonmore for the first derby of the season, how is the mood in the squad ahead of the game?

The mood is very positive in the squad ahead of Saturday’s match. All the boys are fully focused and have been working hard in training to ensure we are ready for a tough game against Newtonmore.

How have you found Ronald’s management so far?

Ronald has been great since coming in as manager. The expectation and intensity has definitely gone up a level but everyone has taken to it well and are all focused on.

You got on the scoresheet last week, meaning each of Kingussie’s 5 goals have been scored by someone different – how strong is the squad across the park this season?

The squad is looking strong this season with a lot of competition for places. The addition of Calum McLay, having James Falconer returning and Robert Mabon building back to full fitness has been a massive boost for us.

Will a win this weekend be a strong statement of Kingussie’s intentions for the season?

Getting a win these big games early on in the season definitely gives you confidence going forward, however, we will need to be at our best to beat a strong Newtonmore side.
