You welcome Kinlochshiel this Sunday, how are you looking forward to the match?

Kinlochshiel are a fit, physical team so we are looking forwards to a good competitive game. 

Last time out Badenoch defeated title rivals Lochaber, how big a statement was that victory?

It was a massive win and statement for us. It’s a constant battle between ourselves and Lochaber, so to get a win against them so early in the season has given us a massive boost moving forward.

With an extra cup added to the WCA programme this year, do you think the team can go all the way in the cups?

It’s very exciting having another cup in women’s shinty. Of course we will be training hard to make it all the way in both cups, but we will just be playing each game as it comes with the hope to progress to two cup finals!

Off the back of a strong season for the seconds we’ve seen the likes of Lexi Farquhar and Orla Olds making the step up, is it exciting having new blood coming through?

It’s great seeing such positive progress from the younger girls. We’re so lucky to have so many up and coming players develop right through from under 14s to 1st team level. Everyone gives their all to every training session and they deserve their hard work to be recognised through progressing up to the 1st team.

You capped off a strong season by featuring in the Mowi Shinty/Camogie International, are you confident of keeping these levels up?

Last year was a great season for Badenoch, as well as my own personal development. We’re all feeling motivated this season after such a successful season last year. I’m just looking to keep my fitness up, continue developing my skills and work hard to ensure we leave this season on a high!
