It’s a big one this week as you take on the holders at Taynuilt, how are you feeling ahead of the game?

We’re all really looking forward to it. Newtonmore are a top side and we know how difficult a game it will be, but there’s a lot of confidence in the squad just now. We’ll go into it believing we can get a result.

The final is at your home park this year, does this add an extra level of motivation?

Playing in a Scottish final on Mossfield would make it even more special. But the location of the final is irrelevant unless you’re in it so we have to do everything possible this weekend to ensure we are there.

Camanachd come into this game off the back of an 8 game win streak, what’s been working well for the team?

We’ve been playing well and everyone has been working hard for each other but I think we all know that we haven’t done ourselves justice in some of these bigger games. We’ve got a good balance throughout the team and there’s a real belief that we can win these games, but we need to start proving it.

With the likes of Lewis Cameron back this year and the signing of Kyle MacFarlane, do you think the squad is better placed to go one better than last season?

I think so. We’ve added experience and youth with the additions of Gary and Kyle, and having Lewis back is a massive boost as well. We were disappointed to fall short last year, so hopefully we can use that experience and go one step further this time.
