Another exciting weekend of shinty was headlined by the Badenoch Derby.

Elsewhere, Kilmallie travelled to Reraig and got off to a fantastic start scoring in the opening minutes of the match. Shiel managed to get back into the game taking the score into half-time to 1-1. The 2nd half really sprung into life however, with Rodger putting Kilmallie back in front on 48 before Keith MacRae got his first of the afternoon on 50′. Jordan Fraser put Kinlochshiel ahead for the first time 20 minutes from time and MacRae doubled the lead and his personal tally for the afternoon. Shiel ended the game in a professional manner against eventual 11 men Kilmallie to ensure the points stayed on the west coast.
In the other Artemis Macaulay Cup games Oban Celtic put 6 past Ballachulish with Duncan MacDonald getting half of Oban Celtic’s total on the day. Kyles Athletic beat GMA 3-2 for the 2nd time in a month sending them through to the next round and Oban Camanachd put 4 past Bute to secure thier passage. In the Tulloch Homes Camanachd Cup Beauly welcomed Inverness to Braeview and secured their place in the next round with an emphatic 9-0 victory, Robbie Brindle with a hat-trick on the day.
