The boys are excited for the game ahead this weekend we know it will be a tough game as Glen Urquhart will be wanting to get revenge for when we last met them earlier on this year, but the boys are ready for that challenge.

How big an honour is it to lead your teammates out as captain in a final?

It is an amazing honour to be able to lead the team out for this final and an incredible way to finish my U17 journey.

6 Newtonmore players were selected for the North u17s – how good is it seeing the club making up such a big contingent of the area rep squad?

It is great seeing so many of the boys being picked as they have worked hard throughout this season and achieving everything they have is a genuine reflection on the boys talent and commitment.

Newtonmore have quite incredibly conceded only 3 goals this u17 season, scoring 122 goals – how strong do you feel the squad’s quality is?

The squad couldn’t be any better – all the boys play such an important role in the team and put in a lot of work to be able to have such a good record. The coaches and club have also played a massive part in this success.

Newtonmore of course lifted the Tulloch Homes Camanachd Cup last week – does seeing the seniors lift shinty’s biggest prize inspire you to work on your own game in hopes of one day emulating this success?

It is such an inspiration seeing the seniors lift the camanachd cup against our rivals Kingussie and of course we would love to be able to replicate there success.
