BEAULY SHINTY MEMORIES

Beauly Shinty Memories held another successful meeting on Thursday 26th February in the Church of Scotland Hall in Croyard Road where over 30 people enjoyed a talk on the “Sporting Memories” of the Rev. Fraser Stewart a retired minister who is currently providing pulpit supply

in the Church in Beauly. His talk was very eloquently presented with intermittent pieces of

humour and covering all aspects of sport from shinty to cricket.

After a break for tea, coffee and home baking Siobhan Neylon a singer and guitarist formerly from County Clare in Ireland but now resident in Beauly gave a great rendition of some well known Irish and Scottish songs before finishing with a superb performance of that great

Irish song ” The Parting Glass”.

The meeting closed with a resounding thanks by all to Fraser & Siobhan for their part in making the meeting so enjoyable and to the ladies of the club who provided the excellent tea at the   interval.
