You face off against Skye, how are you feeling ahead of the game?

We’re really looking forward to the game against Skye. It’s always a great challenge and there’s a lot of excitement in the squad this week. Training has been really positive, and we’re keen to put in a strong performance.

Last season you both got a win a piece, what do you make of Skye as a team, and what will you need to do to get a positive result?

– Skye are a very well-organised and competitive side, and we know from last season how evenly matched we are. They work hard for each other and make you earn everything. For us, it’ll be about sticking to our game plan, working hard as a unit, and making sure we take our chances when they come.

What lessons can GMA take from Sunday’s defeat to Shiel?

From Sunday’s game against Shiel, there’s definitely lessons for us in terms of consistency and maintaining our standards throughout the full match. There were a lot of positives to take as well, but we know we can raise our level and be more clinical in key moments.

How did you find playing 12-a-side?

Playing 12-a-side was an interesting experience – it definitely opens up the pitch more and tests fitness and decision-making. It was a good challenge and something a bit different, which we enjoyed adapting to. We look forward to playing 12-a-side more in the future, and feel it’s a great direction for the women’s game to be heading in. It’s an exciting time to be playing women’s shinty.

You’re the vice captain for GMA, how does it feel to be trusted with this responsibility?

I feel really honoured to be vice captain. It means a lot to be trusted with that responsibility, especially in such a great group. I’m really proud to support our amazing captain Ali MacVicar in encouraging the team to be the best it can be, and to help create a positive environment where everyone can perform to the best of their ability and enjoy their shinty.
