It’s the Macaulay Cup Final this weekend, how are you and the guys feeling ahead of the game?

We’re looking forward to it. It’s a big game and a chance to win silverware, so everyone is focused and ready to go.

It was a cruel end to the Camanachd Semi on Saturday past, how important is it to get that disappointment out of your head and focus on what is a great opportunity for silverware this weekend?

It was disappointing, but we can’t dwell on it. We’ve got another final to play and another chance to win a trophy, so the focus has to be on Saturday.

You lifted this trophy in 2023 against the same opposition, is there anything you think you did right that day that you could repeat?

We defended well, stuck to our game plan and took our chances. We’ll need to do the same again this weekend.

It’s perhaps not the strongest record you have against Kingussie, but you were arguably the better side in last year’s final, some Bob McGregor heroics keeping you at bay, do you still go into these games with the confidence that you can win?

Of course. Last year we felt we were the better side and probably should have won it. We know we can beat Kingussie, but we’ll need to perform on the day.

Finally, you are on a really good run of form, winning 8 of your last 9 games and you look set for at least a third placed finish in the league, how do you find playing at the back compared to maybe being a little further forward in previous campaigns?

I’d rather play further forward but Daniel has asked me to play in defence and here I am, but at the end of the day I just want to play and help the team!
